We started at the end of the show season with 2 of our boys in Truro, NS. They were junior puppies. Practice makes perfect they say....
We had a great year in the show circuit! Bailey, Willy and Timmy finished their championship. Congratulation my boys...now just be puppies and play!!!
My girl Dana finished her championship with 2 group placements! What a great girl!!!! A big thank you to both Isabelle Beaulne begin_of_the_skype_highlighting end_of_the_skype_highlighting(Moonglow's Kennel) and Debby Anselmo (Clairfield's Kennel) for giving me the opportunity to prove myself to you! Isabelle lives in Val Carron, Ontario. Debby just moved to Fort Erie, Ontario in 2008
Our new show prospect for next year is China. She is from StefMa Kennels (Stephane St-Onge). China's mom Camille, was the Top Shih Tzu Puppy in Canada last year... I have great hopes and expectations! StefMa Kennel is in Levis, Quebec.
In December 2008, we adopted Dragon from France Ferland (Wuhan's Kennel) in Montreal. She was the first breeder to give me a chance and sold me Bailey and Willy. I am grateful to her for giving me this opportunity. My plans were to grow his coat out and show him sometime in 2010. Earlier if I succeed in growing his coat out.
China's 1st Show was in Truro and was shown by Allison Foley... In April, my Daughter and I flew up to meet up with my friend and mentor Isabelle Beaulne. By this time Dragon's coat was getting pretty long so he tagged along. We spent the weekend in Arnprior where we showed both Dragon and China. Dragon won his 1st 2 point win!
After that weekend China went with Isabelle for the next few months and was shown in Ontario.
In July, I drove back to Ontario for the Bracebridge show. I showed Dragon and saw some really beautiful Shih Tzu owned by Patty Paquette.
In August, Dragon did really well for me... The little man placed 4th in Group in cape Breton and only needed 1 point to finish his Canadian Championship!
In September... China finally matured and started to win... What a slow bloomer she was!!! and I finally finished Dragon's Canadian Championship
I sent her to a few shows with Allison who was able to place her in the group many times. She finished her Canadian Championship in PEI at the Island Kennel Club dog show.
In early December, Stéphane St-onge of Stefma Shih Tzu asked me if I could show one of his bitches for him next year. So, Miss Victoria come to live with us and we had the winter to start her training
Victoria went to her 1st show in Halifax in February. In early March, our family loss an important family member. With the loss of my mom I had to take a step back and I asked Allison to show the girls for me... Thank you Allison and your staff for your help and support.
In the next few months, Victoria was awarded her Canadian Championship now it was Oceania turn! Oceania was our own show prospect for this year. She was our 1st home breed and was a Champion by the time she was 8 month old. She had Multi group placings and was Best Puppy in group 12 times. She is #2 Shih tzu Puppy in Canada
I an so proud of what I have accomplished in the last 2 years. I owe my accomplishments to my Family and friends...Without their support I wouldn't been able to do this... I just wish I could share this with my mom.
Our show prospect for this year is Halo's Amazing Grace...and we may have a little one from Victoria and Dragon's litter that we will grow up to be a shinning star!
Let's see what 2011 brings us! Thank you everyone that help me pick her out!
I just wanted to point out that I had to make a few changes. I'm in the process of changing my kennel name. When I first started, I registered my kennel name as Furryangels because of my existing grooming shop. It was cute but I really didn't think it through.
After talking to many wise people I decided to change my kennel name. Juliette and Bailey's litter was registered under Halo's
Past and future handlers were/are: My daughter Sarah, Lynn Joudrey, Clara Crocker , Allison Foley, Olivia Hodgkinson, Isabelle Beaulne end_of_the_skype_highligh(without her I am positive, I would of never placed Dana in the group) and myself.
I would like to take this time to thank everyone that helped me show my fur babies in the ring in the past few years.
||My males Victor and Dude are available for stud services to qualifying bitches only. The fee for this is either a Puppy back or $1500 plus hst. We follow the rules and regulations of the CKC.
